Machine Calibration & Alignment

Pick-and-place machines require extremely high precision and repeatability.

To ensure every component is accurately placed on the PCB, the internal coordinate system, vision alignment, feeder positioning, and all reference baselines must remain precisely aligned.

Although each machine is calibrated at the factory, vibrations and mechanical shifts during transportation or relocation may cause calibration data to become inaccurate. Therefore:

  • After first installation

  • After transportation, relocation, or repositioning

  • Whenever placement accuracy or positioning performance decreases

A full machine calibration must be performed.

Calibration restores the machine’s precise coordinate system, ensures high placement accuracy, and maintains stable production quality.

Calibration is not a fix for a problem — it is essential maintenance to keep the machine performing at its best.
